Based in the Dunstable area, STC crystallized out of the Greyhound pub jam sessions which were held up to September 2006. 

 
The band members span a wide age range, the youngest being 17 and the oldest is 58. The music is the bond with all members enjoying everything from Donny Hathaway to Yes and The Beatles to James Brown.
Tim Laws is now working in Corfu for 6 month and we are in the process of replacing him with Les Dart. The proof of the pudding will be on Father's day ( 17th June, children ) when Les debuts as front man at The Greyhound in Dunstable. No picture of Les yet.

Ben Scrivener
Alleged never to have had a haircut in his life, Ben is studying for his A levels which include music technology during the week. He studies music at Trinity college on saturdays. Clearly inspired by Jimi Hendrix, he uses a Fender Strat or Gibson SG through Marshall sound gear.
 
Dave Crowder
Still thinks he's 18 but actually nearer 81, he served his time on the miner's welfare circuit in the days when we had miners. Inspired by MsCartney & Squire,he just loves to perform and uses his Ric mainly, through Torque and Carlboro gear.
Chris Maddock
A totally committed musician ( or at least should be - committed, that is ), Chris has already achieved grade 8 in piano, bass cello and saxophone. He is a sought after player and is also studying for his A levels and attending Trinity. He uses xxxx saxes through a wireless mike system as he can't stand still!
 
Phil James
The youngest member of the band has toured with many famous names and been resident at the London Palladium. This professional now runs his own drum school and swings with the cat to get it out of his system
